This week, Swiss IR Club board members Michèle Schnyder and Daniel Bösiger joined CIRA – Cercle Investor Relations Austria and DIRK – Deutscher Investor Relations Verband in Hamburg for our annual DACH Board Meeting.

The two-day exchange provided an opportunity to look beyond national borders and discuss the topics currently shaping IR across Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

Unsurprisingly, AI featured prominently: The discussion focused particularly on what is currently top of mind for IR professionals: How are teams already using AI in their day-to-day work? Where does it genuinely add value? What questions and challenges are members encountering? And, importantly, how can our associations best support members as AI becomes an increasingly established part of the IR function?

The discussion also covered the changing geopolitical environment and investor expectations, the evolving investor landscape and capital market presence, upcoming regulatory developments, and the changing strategic role of IR within companies.

Beyond these industry topics, we also exchanged ideas on professional development, member offerings and opportunities for further collaboration between our three associations.

A big thank you to DIRK for hosting this year’s meeting in Hamburg and to Kay Bommer, Elis Karner and Harald Hagenauer for the constructive and insightful exchange. Regular dialogue across borders helps us identify shared challenges, learn from one another and, most importantly, translate these insights into relevant support and offerings for our members.
