Join us for a breakfast discussion with Goldman Sachs’ Peter Oppenheimer (Chief Global Equity Strategist) and Sharon Bell (Head of European Equity Strategy).

As markets globally continue to make new highs almost daily, beneath the surface, only a handful of sectors and companies are driving those gains. Peter points out that this rally is the narrowest the US market has seen in over 25 years, which is making many investors uneasy. In Europe, we’re seeing similar trends, those who miss earnings are getting hit harder than in past seasons. Peter’s base case? The world is changing: less globalization, higher deficits, and a higher cost of capital mean it’s time for more diversification, especially shifting focus towards ‘old economy’ value sectors, many of which are in Europe.
