“As stewardship expectations continue to evolve, investors are increasingly considering how engagement fits within a broader, more connected approach to stewardship, across research, engagement, voting, and reporting.
Against that backdrop, and in light of certain market developments, we would like to reaffirm Glass Lewis’ long-term commitment to engagement and supporting investors in the development and execution of their stewardship strategies. We continue to invest in and expand our engagement capabilities. Our focus currently includes:
- Expanded engagement services, including launching a norms-based engagement programme built on the Global Conduct Monitor (GCM), our proprietary screening product, which includes a dedicated conflict zone module, and thematic engagement on selected topics
- Continuing our custom engagement efforts performed on behalf of specific clients
- Significant expansion of our engagement team with experienced professionals who bring direct familiarity with norms-based and thematic programmes
- Leveraging our Engagement Management Platform and its reporting capabilities to support clients’ engagement activities and reporting needs.
We are focused on making any transition as seamless as possible. We are building our platform to support the migration of existing engagement histories, and we are working to provide continuity on active engagements so that dialogue with companies is not interrupted.
We recognize that many investors are reviewing how their engagement programs are structured, what they expect from external partners, and how engagement can be more effectively connected with their wider stewardship activities.
If these questions are currently on your agenda, Glass Lewis would welcome the opportunity to hear about your priorities and discuss how Glass Lewis can support your strategy.”
